This piece is the first of the “Portals” collection.
It represents finding glimpses of direction within liminal spaces. Finding meaning in the in between before stepping into the new.
This piece is not a conventional idea of ‘perfection’.
The idea behind the physical form was to keep some of the organic energy of the flow of the gold as it melts into the mold during the process of creating.
To me it feels more natural.
